Outlander for a day, Maybe longer?

I must admit the Outlander is not a bad little CUV (compact utility vehicle). It's not as refined as say... A toyota or honda but if you'd wanted a honda or toyota, you'd already gotten one so get off my back! It was a nice feeling though passing a BMW X3. You see, the Outlander too has HID head lights in addition to a 6 cylinder engine with a 6speed auto transmission... And how much does that CUV cost compared to this one? Alas, the Outlander just doesn't have the WOW factor that the ultimate driving machine has when you mention "I drive a Mitsubishi".

But that's all brand management and hype. Mitsubishi and their team of engineers in their own rights are just as good as the Germans. Besides Did i mentioin yet about the 650 watt Rockford Fosgate stereo? Like that's supose to mean something... But I do like to say it. Sort of rolls off the tongue. And 650 Watts is such overkill.
Anyhow for the time i got to drive this little car I had fun beating the Heck out of it.. And for the money?.. You can't beat it with a stick. You can beat it with a Subaru WRX but a stick... No. It was peppy, spry, and suprisingly refined with low road noise. I'm not saying it's gone, but it was quiet.
Here's a picture of the "class first" fold flat tailgate with the Rockford Fosgate subwoofer. Maybe one reason why this car facinates me is because of the contradictions i see with this car.
It's hard for me to reconcile the "rock and roll" attitude, the high tech gadgets, and mechanical wizardry I see in this "chick" car. I
don't know. If they were to make it look like the Paris to Dakar Pajero or give it some 30 inch monster mudders with a 3 inch lift... Yeah, rock and roll but now? very hello kitty and sanrio. And yet with this generalization... It calls to me and draws me in... I dunno. it must be the navigation system or the Fast Key security system or maybe it's the looks you get when getting out of the car in a busy parking lot..."yeah, i suppose it was kinda loud and thumping..." and this from a "chick" car!
I am thinking about leasing one for the missus when she gets back... She's a poster child for Sanrio. I think her and the car with cute white dog would fit perfectly with the sunroof open and music cranked.
Well, either this or the New Evo10. But the wife did mention comfortable. So unless your idear of bouncey and loud and jarring is comfortable, with head snapping speed, the Evo10 it is. Lord knows though I don't want her to commandeer my car so i better get what she wants. I hope the Outlander will be it.
