A cool day.

Today it felt cold. I didn't have a scarf so I don't know if that was the reason why I felt extra cold or if it was the wind. But boy, it was freezing.

It has been really nice lately and I wanted to get out and about today. We went to Coney island to get a hot dog and to walk around but the walking around part went out the window as it was really cold. I was expecting it to be cold but not that cold. It was a neat experience and I'm glad i got to experience it. Maybe next time we will go and walk on the boardwalk.

I can't imagine how it will be during the summer. I'm thinking really hot and a mess of people.

winter heat wave

Today was another scorcher. It felt like 50 degrees outside. It was weird to see snow on the sidewalk and everywhere else. It sounds better than in reality tho. Can't beleive all the dog crap. I got to thinking that if people don't pickup after their dog that the poop could really pile up.

And what do people feed their dogs?... I would not want to own a dog in New York. The place is so crowded, the housing so cramped, you are working late/long hours, how can you have room/space?... And I saw this lady walking two dobermans. and they were huge! I never saw dobies so big and tall. Made me wonder why she felt the need to have two such dogs.

okay, gots to go.

adios,

Today was an interesting day. Can't really put my finger on it but it just seemed that way.

Right from the moment I stepped outside it seemed that the day seemed a little bit brighter than usual. How can that be? More vibrant and clear. Maybe it's a sign that I need new contact lenses but whatever it was, I liked the feeling. Walking down the block.

Then this one dood spat in front of me as I was walking... from his stoop. A nice loogey. How rude! Granted I was like 25 feet away but heck was it necessary?

People always bitch and moan about not having respect but first off what do they do to warrant any respect? Be respectful, act respectful, then perhaps others will be respectful towards you!

Argh. off of that tanget. i was listening to kevin and bean today. finally Kroq is streaming online so I got some of their show. It was nice to hear them on the radio/online. made me feel like i was home driving on the 605. It gave me good feelings.

Then for some reason I was preparing for my wife's birthday two days in advanced! Total brain fart. I was thinking I'd be real slick like to celebrate her birthday at 12 AM but after I bought the cakes and stuff it dawned on me that i'm slightly early Sh*t! Argh!

back to the dawing board. I'm wondering how the cakes slices will taste. I hope okay. and then I got a fruit tart. the bakery seemed pretty tasty and they are on the east side... Like that's suppose to mean something. I guess that's were the doughs at. the people do seem a bit different there. But none too friendly.

Well, gots to go. thanks for listening. I wonder how long these things will be stored for?... I'm almost not writing in my own paper journal anymore.

Anyhow take it easy,

Vin

Giving optimism a try.

It's weird. I'm finding myself wanting to write something in this Blog just to keep it going. But I don't really have anything to say or report. I guess if I don't have a negative opinion I don't have an opinion at all.

I will really have to work on that. I got to stop being so negative. I was reading a while back a book called learned optimism. I almost finished it but I remember it had some good stuff. Looks like I nead a tune up. Unfortunately the book is packed away and sitting in California.

One thing I was thinking about was that I'm in a very unique situation. Almost like having my cake and eating it too!

I mean I have the option to do so many things out here in NY that people would give their left nut for (or right) and yet I have the ability to recollect and look forward to times agian back home that people only see on tv or in advertisements. Man, I miss the smell of the ocean or the way I can veg out while driving.

That's also one thing I was wondering about. People in NY don't really seem to have a means to veg out (like driving). You can on the subway but it's almost a different type of vegging. You have to watch out constantly for "dangers" and the like. And now the new thing going around in the media is bedbugs! and you can get these from contact with people sitting in the subway! They are saying even in the best places on the "east side" (I always think about the Jeffersons) will have them...

Man, being in NY is like full tilt all the time. I guess one nice thing is that there are so many tourist around that if you feel homesick I start talking with the tourist. Heaven knows that very few NYers are chatty.

But it's been awsome here. I just wish some of the circumstances could be different. I guess that's me just being compulsive.

eh?. adios.
