a few more days yet

What to post...Hmmm

not much happening. or I guess a lot. Going to NY to drop the wife off for school. That's going to be interesting. or the months inbetween while we are separated.

I was just getting use to having her around too! I know I'll miss her. And at the same time I'll miss being back in the city in the winter time.

good thing i have pictures to review.

Armageddon! Is NOW!

Signs of the times, you better watch out!

Fat chinese and weight conscious Amerikans?

I read this on the Los Angeles times about the first krispy kreme in southern california. It was interesting but yeah, it was a fad. It's now closing. I can't say I been to the store there but I've had some of their doughnuts. They are okay.

and get this! Fat China? Figures. Looks like Capitalism is suiting them well. I read this on MSNBC. And think I use to like the fact that they rode bikes. But not anymore. Hit the gym tubby! That's another Western concept you better get use to!

Ugh. reminds me... I got to work out!

TeeVee

I just realized something. I don't really like to watch TV anymore. Yeah, i have my favorite shows but I don't watch TV like I use to. And I use to watch a lot of TV. ALOT.

I don't know when this happened or why the change all I can say is if I watch too much TV I get a headache. And it puts me in a really bad mood. Those who read my earlier blogs when I was not so optimistic as I'm now (being optimistic there eh?) can get the general feeling of my mood and disposition. Yeah, not a pleasant one. But after watching TV whooa. Stand clear!

I'm thinking it has something to do with the proliferation of the "reality" TV phenomenon. I don't know about you but I watch tv to veg out and escape reality. Last thing I need to do is face more reality and the stupidity of the people in this world. Oye! What a mess. I don't know why I get so irate but I do.

So I find myself sitting in the middle of the room, listening to crickets, writing in this blog. I suppose being on line opened up many more avenues to veg out with. I find it great that I can find and research items and products to buy, read papers from across the globe, and even keep in contact with friends and family all from this room.

But I guess my musings could be pre-empted for "King of the Hill" or for Star Trek.

Live long and prosper.

How hot is it now?

Going back to Brooklyn at the end of the month. I'm hoping and praying that it wll be cool for the week that I'm back visting. After that the wife will have to deal come what may. I will be okay listening to her complain and seeing the weather on my computer from California. Like you are suppose to do. I will miss her and not being back there. I can't believe it's already a year almost since I first went out there thinking for about 3-5 years.

Up up and away

Here's the wife an niece at legoland this past sunday. It was fun. Can't beleive how fast the kids grow. I'm worry about getting older as I don't think I'll be able to keep up. They have this fire engine truck ride that my nieces seemed to take a liking to and we did that 3-5 times! Of course this was a very labor intensive self propelled ride that they always wanted to repeat.

here's a picture of us at fallbrook. picking some fruit and checking on the tenants. My mom always wanted to retire here but she doesn't seem to be so motivated to be out here anymore. Although her and my dad did seem to like walking the trees.

San Jose, Winchester House

Guess were we are at? Who would have thunk the mother in law would suggest visiting the Winchester house. It was okay. The old lady winchester had a lot of guilt. Too bad. Aside from the whacky construction they had some of the most beautiful tiffany glass work for the windows. I didn't take any pictures of the house because I felt it was sort of like a memorial. Weird but there was methods to her madness.

This is the next day. After barely getting my cousin back for her curfew we took her and her roomie to what I thought would be a first class breakfast. Much to my chagrin it wasn't. I think next time we will be going to stacks. Usually we get pretty good service but this time was horrible. And it will be on my list of no returns. And I mean it this time!

Here is a shot of Pier 39. we took our cousin here as she was up in Palo Alto doing some school stuff. It was good to see her. This was an experience as we went to this one crab resturaunt and was mislead about the seating time. pissed me off as we were pressed for time and they just jerked me around. after 45 minutes we left for another resturaunt and got seated right away. and the food was pretty tasty. it was called dante's. it's okay. i'll give it 2.5 stars out of 5. but it was good, i just have hi standards of service and tastes. For instances, jack in the box taco would be a 2 and their egg rolls a 5.

Sunnyvale Dream

This is from the 3 star hotel/motel from sunnyvale. It was okay. I don't think the ranking was true but I never knew how many hotels there were in that area! it was an okay weekend. I wish it was longer but it was fun to get away and see the inlaws again.
