a new year and one for the history books 2020
going through my facebook while on the computer i'm reminded of my blog. who remembers these things? been about 12 years since i last wrote in it. crazy how much times have changed. with insta gram, twitter, and facebook, these blogs are pretty much obsolete.
hard to imagine back then in the day tho the blog was able to let me keep in touch with my family while i was in new york. hard to imagine communication being so slow back in the day, relying on phone calls or emails. i don't thinking texting was that big of a thing back in the day. maybe if you had a blackberry but not that common.
now everybody is connected. kids walking around with ipads or chromebooks. these devices are so prevalent it makes it pretty much easy to do these distance learning at home during these quarantine periods.
crazy time. stay at home quarantines. how common will these be as the years go in? yeah, probably don't have to shut down but i can't deny there's a whole lot of people dying even when we are doing these quarantines.
and... i'm kind of digging these things. i kind of like now having to run about meeting obligations and such. kids are a bit more bratty but kind of nice spending time with them even though seems like i'm yelling at them periodically. that's bad i know but i can only handle so much of their rambunctiousness. and man they get punchy when they have too much energy.
oh, the reason why i'm blogging... segways... not so much the rage. i want a onewheel now. but they so flipping expensive. and i've been reading... kinda dangerous as well as they have bad customer service. i'm gonna spend 2500 on a onewheel xr i better get somebody kissing my arse. plus they nickle and dime you for all the accessories. i hard to bring my selft ot admit it's a waste of money. don't by. at least until they put some sort of transmission/slipper on the thing so it don't launch you off the board by doing a full wheel lock up. crazy stuff being launched off a board.
any ways electric cars are the boon now. they incrementally making head way. hybrids are pretty nice and save on gas so you don't use so much. it's getting a lot more crowded now and the income divides are getting more extreme. this social distancing might be a catalyst for change but we'll see during this november as the presidential elections are coming up again. will donald trump get re-elected? the Democrats are seeming to be going back to their old play book and people aren't too impressed. same ol' same so they just might re-elect don again. after all he does what he says, and is a family man... other than that i don't think he has much in the way of ethics or scruples but to only see that his self interests are served. kind of the antithesis of George Washington. sad to see such a self serving individual in the office but that's the world we live in. corporations only worried about the bosses pockets with little regards for the peons and the peons forced to stay home due to the covid out break because we so used to being told to show up to work sick to maintain productivity and kpi's.
in this time of 2020 nature is telling us to slow down. or at least to have safeguards in place to protect our health. who's to say what influence trump had in how this covid outbreak is playing out. from my uneducated point of view this is what i see. 1) the repeal of the obama care (affordable care act). 2) the trade war with china straining an already tenuous relationship 3) the cdc liason leaving china 4) cronies in the office replacing actual qualified people that could have spotted the warning signs of an outbreak.
yeah, we were screwed from the onset of this outbreak. no reliable information from china made it hard for our doctors to come up with the epidemiology of this new virus. lots of stuff we finding too late. and by the time china/us lock down travel probably more than a million carries were spawned and traveling around the world.
ironic, the rednecks and ignorant blame the chinese ethnicity on this (not china) when it's probably the actions of ignorant that spread this virus. from the president all the way down to the sick people going to church or eating a the buffets (while feverish) spreading the virus that we are learning (after 5 months) is pretty virulent.
yep. he does what he says and is a good family man.
yep, so a man with a large ego, that can't admit when he's wrong and even still does what he says allows for family nepotism to be obviously flaunted is good to have in the most powerful office in the nation. yep, no corruption and yep he's qualified because he says so.
2020 crazy times.
