new icon?
I love FireFox. Or is it all the extensions that you can add that just make it over the top? One extension that i use is forecast fox. It's great. As my story goes I use forecast fox because when I was living in Brooklyn you could never tell how it would be outside.
California easy. Clouds in the sky?... mild, seventy-ish. Blue skies?... Maybe hot, upper seventies - to low eighties. Plus you'd spend most of your time in your car. In Brooklyn? forget about it. Walking everywhere, no releif from rain or snow and the temperature differences sometimes can be 10-20 degrees! So I used forecast fox to help figure what the temps would be for the day/week so I'd know how to dress or what to expect.
I haven't changed my forecast fox location since I moved primarily due to the fact that I kinda still want to vicarously live in Brooklyn and to try and remember how it was like.
So the other day when I boot up my computer I see these new Icon's that I haven't seen yet. Hmm what do these mean I ask myself...
HoHO. Flaming thermometers! I guess that means HOT. I can't beleive it. Now again, I'm sort of glad that I'm not there. Could you imagine how horrible it would be if my wife was still there? Luckily for me she is back from summer school and not in Brooklyn complaining to me on the phone about the weather Phew!.
Man, that's one for the memory banks tho. flamin thermometers. That's funny. Now I get Extreme weather warnings and to be mindful of the excessive heat and humidity. I guess that work out is out of the question. I wonder if the corporate types are still wearing the suits and ties. Or even how the subway smells with this heat and humidity. I'd probably be gagging on the smells of trash and urine. I'll have to let you know as I'm planning to go back and drop the wife off when school starts again. I'm hoping the heat will abate then but last year I remember august being hot. It didn't cool off til about September/October ish. I'm hoping an air conditioner will not be required but 60-40 days of heat may be intolerable for the missus.
We'll see.
